• Settlement for policy limits of $2 million to twin boys born prematurely when obstetrical nurse in
  Morris, IL failed to appreciate the signs and symptoms of premature labor resulting in permanent
  disabilities for both children

• $7.9 million settlement to a 52 year old union pipe insulator who developed compartment syndrome
  as a result of physicians' failure to recognize the formation of a blood clot following a total knee
  replacement

• $1.2 million dollar record settlement to the widow of an elderly man who died when his heart being was punctured during a chest tube insertion at a hospital in Chicago Heights, IL;

• $3 million dollar settlement to a 50 year old man who suffered nerve injury to his hand during cervical surgery at an Arlington Heights, IL hospital;

• $11 million dollar settlement during trial to the widow of a 51 year old man who was rendered quadriplegic and died after the head holding device used during cervical surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital failed* (recognized within the top 20 settlements in Illinois in 2004 by Crain’s Chicago Business);

• $5 million dollar record settlement during trial for a Will County man whose vision was significantly impaired from injuries he received while cleaning farm equipment*;

• $2 million dollar record settlement to the widow of a hunter who died in Johnson County, IL. due to a defective tree stand harness*;  

• $8.49 million dollar jury verdict (increased to over $10 million dollars after the defendant’s unsuccessful appeal) to the family of a 17 year old girl who was killed in a motor vehicle incident involving Greyhound Bus Lines, Inc.*;

• $5.3 million dollar jury verdict for the mother and sister of an 11 year old girl who died from irreversible brain damage during her admission to Cook County Hospital*;  

• $6.8 million dollar jury verdict to a widow and two adult children living in Poland whose 46 year old husband and father died as a result of receiving the wrong medication at an Arlington Heights hospital after a fall at a construction site*;

• $1.92 million dollar jury verdict for a 32 year old man who suffered a back injury during a work hardening program at a Palos Heights hospital*;

• $4.86 million dollar jury verdict to the estate of a young woman who died two years after suffering devastating injuries when the car in which she was a passenger plummeted into an unguarded road construction pit *;

• $1.8 million dollar settlement during trial to an 81 year old woman who suffered multiple leg fractures when she was struck by a semi-trailer truck *;

• A jury verdict in excess of $1 million dollars to a Kane County man who fell down an elevator shaft in his apartment building*.       

• $750,000 settlement to a woman from Georgia who suffered a shoulder injury from a fall down a flight of stairs in a Chicago restaurant; 

• $950,000 settlement to an 81 year old man whose urethra was injured during the insertion of a Foley catheter at a hospital in Olympia Fields, IL
